MEET THE FOUNDER — DR. JAMITZA BURÉS-TORRES

Dr. Jamitza Burés-Torres is a professor, author, and Founder/CEO of 1228Life, Inc. She holds a PhD, MBA, and a Master’s in Forensic Social Work, and is a certified professional in Sexual Abuse Evaluation and Family & Marriage Counseling. Beyond her academic achievements, she is a mother, wife, and advocate dedicated to strengthening families and empowering emotional wellness.

As Founder/Director of Renacer Social Corp.—Puerto Rico’s only forensic social-work center specializing in supervised therapeutic visits—she has spent years supporting children and families through some of life’s hardest moments. Her work with parents, survivors, and professionals inspired her to create tools and products that foster healing, communication, and love in everyday life.
